Privacy policy
Last updated: 13 May 2026
This policy describes how Deskmova LLC ("Deskmova", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit deskmova.com or interact with us. We aim to collect only what we need, to keep it safe, and to be straightforward about what happens to it.
1. Who we are
Deskmova LLC is a company registered in the State of Wyoming, USA. Our registered address is:
Deskmova LLC
1621 Central Ave Suite 56678
Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA
hello@deskmova.com
Deskmova is the data controller for the information described in this policy.
2. What we collect
We collect personal information in three ways:
Information you give us. When you sign up for the launch notification list, contact us, or — once available — place an order, you may give us your name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and order details. For purchases, payment is processed by Stripe; Deskmova does not see or store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect basic technical data: your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, the pages you view, and timestamps. This is used to operate and improve the site.
Cookies and similar technologies. The site uses a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functional (for example, remembering language preference or items in a cart once that feature is live). Analytics cookies, where used, help us understand how the site is being used in aggregate. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some site functions may not work without them.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide customer service
- send launch notifications and order updates you have asked for
- process orders, payments, and shipping (once sales begin)
- operate, secure, and improve the site
- comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting recordkeeping
- prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising profiling.
4. Third-party processors
We use a small number of trusted service providers that process personal information on our behalf:
- Shopify — hosts the deskmova.com storefront, stores order and customer data, and serves the site. Subject to Shopify's privacy policy.
- Stripe — processes payments. Stripe receives payment card details directly through its own secure form; Deskmova receives only a confirmation, the last four digits, and the cardholder country. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Kickstarter — used for the launch campaign. When you back the project on Kickstarter, your information is governed by Kickstarter's own privacy policy; Deskmova receives the data needed to fulfil the pledge.
- Email and hosting providers — used to send transactional and notification emails and to host this site's infrastructure.
These providers may store and process data outside your country, including in the United States. We rely on the contractual and security commitments these providers make, and on standard data-transfer mechanisms where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Order records are typically retained for at least seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Launch-notification email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, and alteration. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to apply current industry practice and to update our practices over time.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- ask us to delete information that we no longer have a lawful basis to keep
- object to or restrict certain processing
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- unsubscribe from marketing or notification emails at any time, using the link in the email or by writing to us
To make any of these requests, write to hello@deskmova.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We respond within 30 days unless local law requires sooner.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. If you are in California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or sent to you by email where appropriate.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy or your information should be sent to hello@deskmova.com, or by post to the address at the top of this page.
